Alco – Instrumental Guitarist

Alco is a guitarist from Puerto Rico, specialized in improvised instrumental music, inspired by acts like Frank Gambale, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Tony MacAlpine y Marty Friedman, among others.

Alco’s show consists of a selection of covers and original music in genres like rock, ballads, funk and jazz. Because of the improvisational nature, every show is different.

Alco has had the opportunity of bringing his music to the United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Germany, and he’s currently in the process of recording his first EP of original music, which you can find on Spotify and iTunes.

Alco is also the author of the book “Hacking Lead Guitar”, where he thoroughly explains his personal method for recognizing the notes on the guitar’s fretboard, helping guitarists find their personal voice on the instrument.
